Contemporary Dream! Codes...?

Ok, so my DH have been to WDW a few times and have taken our kids a few times as well. But now we dream of staying at the Contemporary. We really, really want to be on the monorail. I know that I've heard that the monorail shouldn't be the only reason to stay there, but for us, the monorail is just about the coolest thing ever. I've never stayed there, DH did when he was a kid. I'd love a tower room and the site prices 6 nights in the tower mk view at $2,666 (tell me that doesn't just sound wrong ) That's at $395 a night. (And that's a LOT of money for us.)
Anyway, is there any hope of a discount? I mean I know that discounts come along. Based on previous years' discounts, what kind of discount would be likely? We would like to travel in the Fall/Winter. Preferably early December. Our anniversary is the 16th and we Disneymooned.
Can anyone give me an example of a good rate they have gotten recently or remember hearing? (As in, not in the 70's lol.)

I think there is a room only code, but you have to call by Oct. 30. WDW only blocks a few rooms with the code too. Try calling CRO. 1-800-828-0228.

No, not this year. We just got back on Sept. 30th. I was thinking about 2008 actually. lol. I'm a BIG planner. lol.
I was just wondering what rates people have gotten with a code.

$ is often a factor for me too, not to mention I love a "bargain". If it were me, I would book for a Value season. How about January 2008? Thatmay not feel so far away time-wise for you too.
You can always book, and IF a code is available later apply it towards the res. The actual room rate for 2008 is unknown at this time. But I think you can book under the current rate and the amount would be adjusted later.
Discount codes for 2008 won't be out for several months, as I am sure you know.

AAA is 15% off during Value Season. It makes the room $333 and with tax $377. If you book directly with AAA you can add the dining plan. That's the best we've done for the CR.

We are staying in a MK view tower room 12/19-12/23, with 4 day hopper tickets and dining plan for 2800.00. We got a AAA discount, but all the other discounts that came out, wouldn't apply to our room.

Yes I got the code. Not by mail or e-mail. We already had the reservation, then when all the code talk was going on here, I called them back askedif either of these codes would work and they said sure. Called back later to see if a pacage would be: a better deal with a code and they said I had to have a pin. So I just left it alone.
