Contemporary Construction?

I apologize if this has already been recently discussed! I am on my phone and tried to search but it’s not working well for me.

In a last minute change of events close to our 60 day prior mark we are thinking about staying onsite and doing Contemporary. I went to book and saw a construction notice. Is this still going on?

We are looking to stay in the garden building I think it’s called because it’s cheaper lol. Also kind of liked the idea of it being away from the hustle and bustle… although seems like a longer walk to MK.

Also was a little confused because I thought it cost $$$ to park on-site but on the booking site I was using said free parking which completely confused me. Can anyone clarify?

Thanks in advance!

I screenshot this for you, yes you pay to park;

I was in the GW mid May. They were finishing up the last of the rooms in the building closest to main building. It wasn’t anything that distracted from our stay.

I walked around the whole wing one night. I had always wanted to! Some rooms really have a lovely view! You might have to walk further if you end up on the furthest section but being able to just walk home at night vs waiting for a bus etc is really nice. I also like knowing I will get to MK for rope drop because I can walk and leave when I want.

I recommend booking it 👍

Thank you so much for this!!

The rooms that have a not so lovely view, do you happen to remember what that view was? We’d be booking just a standard view so I am going to figure it likely won’t be particularly “nice” lol. Any idea what it is in the garden wing?

The std view face the parking lot or a few scattered rooms with a poor view but most near the parking lot entrance.

The thing is that unless you are on the 1st floor with a patio it’s not as important as other times. If a view was important don’t book Std. If a great new room with deluxe amenities and walkability to MK and a quick monorail to TTC for Epcot is important while saving $$ this is it!

Not perfect but blue is basically standard.
