Do you have some suggestions? I'm heading off to bed but I will be anxiously waiting to see the suggestions here! I know I can count on my fellow Diser's for great information! :thumbsup2

If you're like me and have children, you probably have no memory. Write them down. ;)

WE had Steven Curtis Chapmans "I will be Here" in our wedding

The "new" wedding hit is "God Made You" by Natalie Grant

I can't think of anything else right now - haven't been to a wedding in ages - all our other songs in our wedding were classical or classic (like from the 70s - Just You And I - Ediie Rabbitt & Crystal Gayle)

The one we had in our wedding, that I don't think many would know, was by Debbie Boone called "friends for life" it is a great song. We also had Amy Grant's "Doubly good".

Is this the version w/ NewSong and Natalie Grant? This came out a few years ago, and I said ever since that if I ever got married this would be in my wedding. Beautiful song!!!

I'm just checking back. Thanks for the suggestions! I will be checking these out. Any more out there?

We had Steven Curtis Chapman's song, "When You Are a Soldier," in our wedding. I love this song! I changed up one line of the lyrics. Instead of "I'll be your friend if you win or if you're defeated...", I made had our singer do "I'll be yours if you win or if you're defeated."
I agree with other posters; Natalie Grant's song "When God Made You" is beautiful.

"I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman is a great one too!

I did a wedding video recently and the couple requested "Your Love is Extravagant" by Casting Crowns.

At my sister's wedding, we (bridesmaids) walked the aisle to Switchfoot's Dare You to Breath. My sister walked to Billy Joel's She's Got a Way. I know that it sounds strange, but it was an absolutely gorgeous ceremony

Cinderella-Steven Curtis Chapman...and are you talking about for the ceremony? reception? dinner music?

"Household of Faith"

I've sung it at about 5 weddings. It is very appropriate and beautiful, especially when done as a duet.

Here we are at the start committing to each other
By His word and from our hearts
We will be a family in a house that will be a home
And with faith we'll build it strong

Chorus:
We'll build a household of faith
That together we can make
And when the strong winds blow it won't fall down
As one in Him we'll grow and the whole world will know
We are a household of faith

Now to be a family we've got to love each other
At any cost unselfishly
And our home must be a place that fully abounds with grace
A reflection of His face

Chorus

I wanted to add.........
I had my singer sing "Holy Ground" jut before parents and grandparents walked out. The piano player kept playing the song after the singer finished singing it, and the parents/grandparents walked out to the instrumental version of it. The singer then sang "In This Very Room" as the attendants walked out. And, as I posted earlier, we had "When You Are A Soldier" sung in the ceremony after the vows.
DH and I wanted to set the atmosphere before we even started the ceremony. We wanted our wedding to really honor our Lord. It is a holy covenant and we wanted to have the music express that.
