Contemporary Bay Tower Villa

We're looking at booking a 2-bedroom villa but are concerned about the bed configurations. Some look to have two queen beds in the second bedroom and others show a queen and pull out sofa. We really need the two queen beds. Are there really two configurations and can we specifically request the two queens?

There really are 2 bed configurations.

A dedicated 2 bedroom is made to have a master with a king bed, a living room, and a second bedroom with 2 queen beds.

A lockoff 2 bedroom is piecemealing a 2 bedroom by combining a 1 bedroom (1 master and a living room) and a studio (a queen and a pullout sofa) and using the connecting door.

They are separate booking categories and must be booked as such on the DVC side. I'm not sure if it is a bookable category or by request only on the WDW Resorts side.

According to the WDW website, if you book with cash through WDW, you get a dedicated 2 bedroom.

Actually, there are four two bedroom configurations. If you are inside the C of the building, you will have a larger laundry room, but a smaller living room and no stools at the slightly smaller kitchen island. If you are outside the C, you will have a small laundry closet versus the large laundry room, but a much larger (wider) living room with two stools at the kitchen island. Then you have the difference between the dedicated (with the two queen beds in the second bedroom with no extra door to the corridor) and the lockoff (studio plus a one bedroom with the door between them open). The dedicated versus lockoff is a booking category. The inside the C versus the outside of the C is just the luck of the draw.

Once you have stayed in one of the inner villas and then stay in the outer villa, you will definitely see the diffrence.
