Contacting resort

I know that the phone numbers listed are at a call center and not at the resort. If I give that number to a family member will they re direct the call to our room? Will they need the actual room number or just the name the reservation is under?

It might be better to just give them your cell phone number and have the family call you directly. You may or may not get any calls that go to the call center.
