A bit of an odd one.......

I need to contact delta to arrange a bulkhead seat and have been told via twitter and email that i need to phone them.

Its 12p a minute to phone the call center from my phone. Would I be better off using one of the cheap usa access numbers and call a usa delta customer service number? I think that works out at around 1p a minute but i dont know if you can call usa freephone numbers.

I hope that makes sense, i just dont fancy being on hold for ages at 12p a minute!

I had to ring SeaWorld passport members freephone number last week, tried using Telediscount at 1p/min (as I always do for calling US) but it doesn't work with freephone numbers. I ended up ringing direct and paying full rate 31p/min with Virgin Media but hopefully my call saved me £100's.:thumbsup2

If you can, call them in the morning otherwise you'll be on hold ages! I've tried :scared:
Dh called the following morning & got straight through ;)

I used online chat when I had a question about my Delta booking before. This seemed to work ok, it was from their website. Can't remember exactly where I found the link.

I cannot recommend enough using twitter to contact Delta. There details are @DeltaAssist.

I recently amended all my flights through this channel. Costs nothing and my questions had been answered and amended all within 15 minutes.

I am still staggered how fantastic their service was through Twitter. A big Well Done to Delta for this.

You send them a simple tweet something along the lines of "I need help reserving a Bulkhead seat on my next flight". You then get a direct tweet back from a service agent asking for you to DM them your ticket number (DM= Direct Message). Once you do this they will DM you back and hey presto !! Make sure you include the initials of the person whom is dealwith your enquiry, they will send this on the tweet back to you.

I am sooo not into this social networking thing, but believe me if this is the way forward with this level of service I'll go with it.

A lot of people over on The Dibb have been using this system for changing flights etc due to the change in planes on the LHR-BOS route and have same great service.

Good Luck

Try using say no to 0870 site, you put the number in and it will most likely have the local or free phone number to use. I use it for my credit cards all the time.

The Tesco International Calling card works well. I don't remember the cost per minute to the US but my wife is from the US and before we got a free International call package with Sky we used them regularly to call her family.

Thank you all!

I have changed my flight-via twitter, and they were then able to sort out my bulkhead seating as it was a different aircraft. Saved me a fortune on phone calls.

Thanks again.

Yay, I'm pleased the twitter option worked for you.

I was sooo happy with their service as you may have picked up from my earlier post;)

I too contacted them via Twitter to request a "Nut free" meal for my daughter, the only problem being they don't offer one & can't confirm if the adult or child meal will be suitable!
