Contact with Concierge - How Early Before Trip?

This is our first time staying concierge level, and I'm just a little bit confused as to how soon contact should be made, either them contacting me, or the other way around. I booked through a travel agent, so the room confirmation went to her and she in turn sent it to me. She says she's never seen anything remotely like an itinerary planner come in when she's booked the Wilderness Lodge concierge level.

Our trip is in a little over 3 months...is it too soon to contact them about PS's, etc.? I was planning to wait at least until after Labor Day weekend (I can only imagine what it's like at WDW during that time!), should I wait until closer to my check in date?

All I can tell you is what I did. We are staying concierage at the Polynesian for the first time in November. From what I read on the boards, the concierage is supposed to contact you 120 days in advance. The only thing is that if you booked through a travel agent and they received your confirmation, chances are they don't have your address on file. This means you may or may not receive it.

Just before the 120 day mark, I contacted the Itinerary Planning office myself. They were kind enough to send me an itinerary email. This way I was able to make all of my PSs and have special arrangements made for our special celebrations.

Depending on how patient you are, you can wait until just before or contact them early. I would definitely plan on contacting them though. The staff has been wonderful with planning all of my PSs and making suggestions about things to make my DSs 7th birthday special. Good luck!

I have heard of people being contacted 120 days out and others never being contacted at all. Last year when we stayed at the Polynesian, I think we received our planner around 80 days out?

IMO, if there are specific difficult priority seatings you are hoping to get, you should contact them before 90 days out. You can call them directly or e-mail :)

I am staying at the RPC concierge at the GF and my trip is less than sixty days out. I have NOT been contacted by the concierge. Sadly, this is par for the course at the GF, that is why I have booked my own PS reservations. I had hoped that the GF would be better by now, but it is not.

As to the WL, I have not stayed in concierge there yet. Disney has recently changed all the PS rules, and most of them can be booked 90 days in advance. Since it sounds like you're close to that mark, and if you want the WL concierge to book those for you, then by all means contact them. If you would rather book those reservations yourself, then please check out the PS Calculator website to see what can be booked when: click here for the PS Calculator. ScottWDW does a great job with that website.

WL Concierge is not known for contacting people ahead of time.

I would call them and ask about getting help with PS's and activities.
