I have been wearing disposable (2 week) lenses for a year now. In the beginning the Walmart brand multiuse solution seemed to work well, but I am not happy with it any more. I do change my lenses every 2 weeks. Any suggestions/recommendations out there?

My boss- an Ophthomologist is a fan of Ao Sept because it has fewer preservatives. I use Opti Free in a pinch. You may be suffering from Allergies at this time of year, so Walmart brand may be fine again after the first hard freeze!

I've been wearing contacts for 11 years now. I started off with the expensive brand name solution, but quickly switched to generic (Target or Wal-Mart) brand. It's much cheaper and in the end, especially since the lenses are disposable, I don't see much of a difference.

I've worn contacts forever. Way back when I first started, I was told to rinse in Saline and using the daily cleaner, then store in Disinfecting solution. Every 2 weeks I would use an enzymatic cleaner. Now that I use disposables, I just clean them with the daily cleaner and use Target or Walmart brand saline for everything else. I've never had any problems.

DH just got his first contacts a few months ago and he likes using the No-Rub stuff. I tend to go through a lot of saline, so I prefer to stick with the cheap stuff.

This never occured to me, but it is a real possibility. I have had to take Zyrtec pretty regularly for the last month, and that is when I have noticed the decline in my lenses. I will pick up a name brand one at the commissary tomorrow, and try the Walmart brand again after the first freeze. Thanks!

I've only had contact lenses for about 6 months and was given samples of ReNu MultiPurpose No Rub solution. It's all I know and I recently bought the store brand during a BOGOFree promotion. On occasion I do have to rub the lenses to remove any lint I may have picked up. I learned this during my intial trial period when I swear something was not right with one of the lenses. The Optician rubbed the lens to remove any debris, so now on occasion I do as well.

I've used a variety of brands (had contacts for 17 years now) but right now I'm using ReNu Multipurpose No Rub. It is more expensive, but easy and I like it.

i use opi free express, kroger store brand, and just bought walmart brand. i agree with others on allergy issue since mine were driving me nuts last week and so were co workers.
