? construction of DVC villas at the GF

I know this will upset some brides - I am so sorry, but found this on the DVC Mouscellaneous board and felt it was my duty as a friend to pass it on

It looks like it may be a start to construction at the GF.

After the day I've had with my MK shoot being cancelled, if this also goes ahead I will be cancelling the whole damn lot!

I think anything in the next few months won't be bothered by this. The date they currently have set is December 2013 to have the trailer complex done. I look for late summer/early fall before we start seeing anything moving on the site.

Also the Stalport is located away from the Grand Floridian. It used to be a landing strip many years ago. It is most likely going be a staging location for the construction crew. The trailer complex probably used by the architects, foreman, etc.
Bad news is this means that something is likely going to be built at the Grand Floridian.

I'm hoping this doesn't interfere with anybody's wedding to much. It makes me sad for those that may be affected.

Obviously this is only speculation, but I do notice in the permit that Disney set the expiration date of the notice of commencement on Dec 31, 2013. It says the date is automatically one year after the issuance unless the applicant requests otherwise. Now that's the expiration for the TRAILERS to be installed. Maybe the project isn't starting as immediately as everyone thinks. Again, just speculation, they could start tomorrow and I'll be totally wrong.

I might be a bit thick headed but how does this impact DFTWs? Will the construction be in the way? I'd like to think that with the price Disney charges for weddings they'd be careful not to let it interfere. I hope it doesn't!

The plans that have been circulating on the web show that the proposed construction will basically be on the beach area between the GF and WP.
