Just looking at our Triptik for our trip to WDW (leaving tomorrow morning at 6 am). It shows construction basically non-stop from Jacksonville to Orlando. Is the construction that bad? Should we consider an alternate route? Thanks for any info.

Well, we're off...I guess we'll just take our chances & play it by ear. I should have read our Triptik earlier so I could have posted this earlier & given time for a reply or two.

I was there in late May. Unless things have really changed I can tell you it wasn't too bad from Daytonna Beach to WDW. There is one section south of Daytonna at Deltona/Debary where they are building a new bridge over the St Johns. There is also another short stretch south of Orlando and north of WDW. It seems to be south of Sea World too. But I was able to drive thru that area pretty quickly. Florida always seem to be doing major road construction in that area. They can not keep up. If you can, take the tollroad 'greenway' from Sanford all the way to WDW. It is longer but it seems to be only 35-45 mindrive once you are on the tollway. It drops you off right at the MK. It is wonderful.
