Construction at CSR?

We just returned and while zipping around we saw the cranes at CSR and lots of construction going on there. Looks like they are building a HUGE addition onto the resort. Maybe another convention hall or ballroom. Anyone have the scoop on what they're building. Wonder how the guest are fairing with all of the construction noise and activities?? Just curious--anyone know?

I just booked a room at CSR for next month. Please don't tell me there's construction that will ruin my quiet room. How close is the construction and noisy, dust producing equipment from the guest rooms?

All I could see is that the construction is on the convention side of the main building. Didn't drive into the resort, you could see it from the road. It's HUGE, that's all I can say. Guess CSR is doing very well as a convention resort and plans to do more convention type events.

We stayed at CSR in May. The construction seemed to be happening between the existing convention facilities and the Casitas. We stayed in Casitas 4 and the construction was no bother to us at all (in fact, we're going back to CSR in Sept ) I asked the bellman what the construction was and he said it was additional convention facilities.

If you're really concerned, I would request a room in the Cabanas or the Ranchos as they are the furthest away from where the construction is.

All the construction is being done at the convention center. They are adding more sq ft to make it one of the biggest conv ctrs in the southeast.

Not SO worried now but still considering a change. Maybe AKL...

You won't even notice them. The only time you see the work is from the bus while driving around the ring road.
