We are going on a cruise Feb 2010. I really wanted to add a day or 2 @ Disney before coming home. We've been there before, so it would be more of a relaxing stroll around the park.....not a commando race to see it all. But I am considering skipping Disney & exploring other options.......

I will have from appx 11am Sat - 4pm Sunday. Is Universal do-able in that timeframe? One park or two? I've never been to US/IoA and know nothing about it. It will be me, DD8, DS13, & my parents (very active).
What do you think? Any advice? Tips?

If this is do-able, I will start researching & planning every possible detail to make sure we get the most out of it.

TIA

It depends on what kind of rides/shows you want. Do you want to do one park fully or choice attractions at both parks?

1 park is very doable in that time frame, 2 parks and you might be rushing to see every thing.

whatever your decision keep in mind you also have to factor in the restaurants at CityWalk.

there are very good places to eat there...

my fave is Margaritaville

As Niki stated...it depends on what kinds of rides your family likes. If they like thrills and coasters, stick with IOA but if not do the Studios. You can really only do one park in that time frame so check out the website and see which park you would enjoy more.

If you stay at one of the three Universal hotels you should be able to do the parks in that time frame. You will have the FOTL option that will save you a lot of time waiting in lines. If you are traveling during the winter break timeframe you should also have later hours at night to help.

Looking at your response, I realized I completely misread the time the OP said they would have. I thought they wrote 11am - 4pm on Saturday only. DOH! :rolleyes1
