I think renting points to BC would be a better value than the old fashion way. I need a lot of help!!!!

Can I rent a regular room & stay at concierge level in the resort as oppose to one of the villas?

Can I add (or use points) on the DDP?

Can I add (or use points) on tickets?

How do I figure how many points I need to rent?

I want to stay November 1st-10th 2008.

Any help is so much appreciated in making the decision to rent points.

No.

The member you rent from can add the DDP to your reservation, but you would pay for it at check-in.

Any tickets would be purchased separately.

At the top of this board there is a link to a DVC point calculator.

I want to stay November 1st-10th 2008.

Any help is so much appreciated in making the decision to rent points.

Any member that has BCV as their home resort will be able to make a reservation for you 11 mos. out. Non-BCV owners can only do it 7 mos. out.

1) DVC points cannot be used at the regular resorts that have DVC attached. For example, you can use points at BCV but not at the Beach Club Resort.

2) You can add the DDP and cash payment would be due at check in. You cannot pay for it with DVC points.

3) You cannot purchase tickets with DVC points either. You would make arrangments on your own for those.

4) There are points charts on the top right corner of the DVC Board under "The Timeshare Store" info. Actually you will be renting a reservation and not points. You may want to browse through the DVC Rent/Trade Board to get some ideas as well.

Thanks for the info.

How can I figure out the cost of the DDP? There are 2 adults and 1 child. I know 5 day park hoppers will be $774 for our family.

Do the BCV have balconies?

Thanks

I would strongly recommend that you find a BCV owner that can make a reservation for you at 11 months out. BCV is one of the smaller DVC resorts, which can make a reservation at 7 months a challenge at times. The early November period you want is during the Food & Wine Festival, which will make ressies at BCV or BWV VERY difficult if you don't have the 11 month advantage.

I totally agree with mikesmom. The 11-month advantage will be required for BCV during the Food and Wine festival. You should also be prepared to pay top dollar for those points. I would be shocked if you would be able to rent for less than $12 per point. You will also want to review cancellation policies with the DVC owner as a lot can happen in 11 months.

Note, you will also get a DVC studio.

One queen bed, one full pullout. No daily maid service unless you pay extra. Small kitchenetted. Decorated quite differently than the Beach Club rooms and the Villas are sort of tucked around the back of the resort.

Know what you are getting - you are not getting a room at the Beach Club.
