Hey, just wanted to pass this on for all you Baggallini fans out there. I just found a discount code for bagsbuy.com, "save10". I was able to get the periwinkle ripstop nylon messenger bag that I'd been hankering after: http://www.bagsbuy.com/baggallini-mes160-messenger-bagg/121602

It was $31.45, but when you sign up you become a member, allowing you 10% off. So with the $10 off code, plus an extra 10% off, AND free shipping, it came to $19.30. Not bad!

Hound will be glad to know I'm leaving my ugly waist pack at home. :thumbsup2

Funny you started this thread, Gail. Just today, I received my brand new - and very first - Baggallini via UPS! It is all because of the DISboards. Had I not read so many things about these bags on this board, I never would have ordered one. Even though mine had a 20% off discount because I ordered it on Sunday, it still ended up costing around forty bucks with shipping included. I got it from eBags. It is the black crinkle nylon messenger kind, and I am trying to get used to it. I usually strap purses across my chest, so I thought I would be used to the way this one is set up, but I can't quite get it to where I am comfortable with how it rests on my body and is convenient to reach. I like having bags resting sort of on the side of my hip, but no matter which way I turn this thing, it is either more on my back or on my stomach, and one corner is always jutting out a little too much because there is no strap on that end, so it will take some getting used to. I extended the strap as well.

Anyway, just as far as compartments go, it has a lot. I practiced shoving a water bottle into the very snug bottle compartment on the side of the bag, and I know if I put anything in there, it will stay put. I put in some glasses and other things in the different pockets just to test the storage capacity! Basically, that is what I have been doing today - putting things in my new Baggallini and taking them out again!

I purchased the Uptown Bag just before my trip and I love it; only one issue. The material on the bag made my yoga pants "pill" from rubbing on my hip when I walked. Just FYI, because I too like my bag to sit on my hip. And the Uptown was a perfect fit with loads of compartments inside and out. Soooo, just wear your bag higher if you're wearing yoga type pants.

Really? That's good to know, because I have problems with that sort of thing as a rule. I have bad bag luck! Last year in September, I got a nice-sized purse that was not too big or too small and it had lots of compartments and a long strap which I prefer), and the zipper broke while in DLR! Then, in December, I had a much bigger Disney purse with me that inexplicably had NO zipper anywhere on it, and the main compartment was held together by a flimsy snap that kept coming open! Not only did things keep falling out of my bag, but it also pilled my nice sweater from the rubbing while walking problem. So I got this Baggallini, hoping it would be the answer to my prayers, but I can see I will either not be able to get it to rest on my hip like I want, or it will pill my pants or shirt! Arrrrrgggghhhhh!

If bagsbuy has the same member discount thing as shoebuy, as a head's up you have to buy every 60 days to keep that current. Otherwise, the next time you order you won't get that 10% off (but the following order you will if it's inside of 60 days).

Sherry, on our last trip, I noticed that I liked my baggallini nicely shored up. Might not have looked lovely, but the weight was pulling on me and hurting me. But as I got it up so my back was happier, it turned out that my left arm was scraping against the velcro on the side pocket. I discovered that a day or so later while showering, and having a sudden burning on my arm from the hot water! I had the nastiest set of scratches on that arm from the velcro!

So I guess that's just a warning. Back pain or arm scrapes. (I do love the bag, but youch!)

Oh, really? I know what you mean about those types of friction rashes, though. You don't necessarily realize you are getting them as they are happening, and then a couple of days later in the shower - OUCH! I can see that I would be one with the Velcro rubbing on my arm if I hoist the bag up my back, and if I keep it low, it will pill my sweater or pants! Oh well. I will just have to get it into a comfortable location ON me first - something I can live with that doesn't feel too weird - and then I will deal with rashes and pilling later. In the past, I have also had certain clasps on bags rip holes in my clothes because they kept poking into the material while I walked! I wish I could go bag-free but I carry too much stuff! I need some sort of bag, but they are a pain! Men never understand that that is why women get so excited when they find a really good bag - one that is roomy, durable, has many compartments, is a good value, good material and quality, and fits just right on your body! We can go through a lot of clunkers before we find a good one!

Thank you!! I was iffy about buying a bag for our trip, but thinking about souvenirs and carrying a bunch of bags was the clincher.

Last trip I used a fanny pack, and the poor thing was just about splitting at the seams. I had it crammed full of everything : camera, cell phone, money, ID, autograph book, etc.

I have a while to get used to this before our trip now. And for less than $20 - wow!

(I got the black so I can toss it to DH if I get tired of lugging it around. Why is it always the woman who carries everything??? LOL)

Hey, DisSarahK, why do you suppose when I go directly to the bagsbuy.com link that avalon451 posted I CAN order a lime green bag, but when I go to ebate.com, and then to bagsbuy, they don't have it in the green? I reaaaaally want the green one!:) And I also want the extra 8% off!:rolleyes1

I'd be kind of surprised if you'd be able to go through e-bags, get 8% off, plus 10% off at bagsbuy, PLUS use the $10 off discount code.

BTW, I ordered my bag on Wednesday. It shipped on Thursday, and I got it on Friday! Amazing! It's awesome.
