Considering AP, Good Neighbor Hotel?

So I'm looking into the possibility of getting an AP for myself to take advantage of the discounts for our family trip. I'm 99% sure the hotel discount is only at the 3 Disney properties but wanted to double check to see if by chance there was a discount for the Disney Good Neighbor hotels. We never stay on property so that hotel discount won't help us but if there happened to be one at the good neighbor hotels then that would sway me into purchasing.

Yes, you can get discounts at other hotels with your AP. I know that the Howard Johnson & Anabella give AP discounts. I think Candy Cane inn as well. I'm sure others will know of more.

The off-site AP discounts are not always the lowest rate available. It still pays to shop around and recheck rates.

Well I called Embassy Suites S. and asked if they offer a discount for AP holders and the response was "I don't believe so".
