Considering adding on via resale

We currently have 350 points some at BW and some at Vero. We are considering adding on possibly 100 points and were considering looking in to purchasing via resale. Has anyone done this before and can you give me any information to help me decide if this would be a good way to purchase additional points?

resale is usually cheaper than direct purchases but takes longer.

to have a resale treated as an add-on, it must:

1) have the same UY month and
2) be titled exactly the same.

if not, you will have another membership number and combining pts for a single night will be a bit more complicated.

in short, i'd look for a resale in your situation...yes.

Resale could save you a bundle, BUT:

1 You are on your own for financing (if you need it).
2 Buyer pays resale closing costs.
3 Closing takes longer and you will have to wait longer to make your first ressie.

Hi: I had 3 contracts through Disney directly before I did another add-on via resale last year. I would do it again via resale if I needed more points. Prices per point, who pays closing and dues are all negotiable. I used the boards' sponsor TTS and their closing company, Magic Vacation Title; and everything went very smoothly. Start to finish was about a month or so.
