Hi cons!!!! Just got back from Epcot- Soarin' four times, Test Track three times, and I also sucked it up and FINALLY tried Mission Space (green team). I loved it!!!!!:cool1: I won't be doing the orange team since even green team gave me a bit of a dizzy headache, but it was still fun!!
i'm orange.

the first time i rode that i didn't have a clue why they were asking me about a color. everybody else seemed to like orange, so there must be something good about that.

i'm a tad claustrophobic, so i sat down in the pod and thought, "man...this is a little close." then the door closed. :scared: my heart started to beat really fast and i looked over at the people in the pod with me and discovered they spoke only italian, so i couldn't even talk my way through the discomfort. i closed my eyes and tried breathing really slowly telling myself it was a disney ride and nothing could possibly go wrong...(thoughts of btmrr decapitating people...thoughts of the rope hold for the columbia [maybe mark twain] ripping some guy's face off...breathing...breathing....) :faint: then the movie came on...as soon as we launched, i was just fine. the word "spin" means nothing on that ride...you don't feel like you're spinning...just like you'd feel on a roller coaster.

i survived.

Soooo.... who are you guys pulling for in the Super Bowl?? I think I'm for the Steelers. Sad sad, no Mannings in the SB this year.:sad1: I was hoping either Eli or Peyton would play.
this refers to some sort of sport situation which interupts my regular programming, is that correct?

My co-worker and I were discussing the Obama Presidency and the media yesterday. Since the Democratic primaries; Obama has been “punishing” those that – well, basically, don’t kiss his …

We saw his 11 days of refusal to speak with any of the reporters on his plane after the last Democratic Primaries debate when Hillary clearly won the debate and the media reported it as so. We saw how the Dallas Morning News reporter and the other one (NY Post??) were excluded from the campaign plane after their papers endorsed McCain. Obama now refuses to take Fox News questions at a press conference, since, you know, they’ve had the audacity to actually report the truth about him instead of ignoring it as the majority of the liberal stations have.

My co-worker was reading the other day that the Obama Administration holds daily (?) security briefings with some of the media political analysis (such as CNN, ABC, ect…) Well, everyone with the exception of Fox News.

(And I question… exactly how is security briefings defined by the Obama Administration? And with the media?)

So – basically Fox News is “punished” for daring to ever say anything negative about Obama. Negative = the truth.

Sooooooo… This is where we start – but where does it end? What will this “being left out” progress to for daring to report the truth vs. the Obamafied version of the truth to the public? Will it progress?

While America still has quite a ways to progress into something like this – this story reported today struck a nerve with me. Will we one day – in the future – look back in hindsight and see this as a warning of what will one day come? Hopefully not. Hopefully we’ll just have four years of Obama’s childishness (that won’t progress any further than it currently has) and then he’s booted out of the White House and we have an administration come in that won’t punish the media for telling the truth – even if it isn’t flattering to the next President or his Administration.

I'm originally from Philly, so I really wanted to see the Eagles in the SuperBowl (really I'm DIEHARD!) But I'm a PA girl at heart, so Steelers have always been my #2 (and my boss is a diehard Steelers fan...) so I'll be rooting for them! Woot! STEELERS GOIN TO THE SUPERBOWL! HERE WE GO! :cool1:

My boyfriend's coworker took the image on the commemorative plates, enlarged it, pasted it on a paper plate and gave it to him...you know, just a suggestion :lmao:

Happy Birthday, Hil!!

We WON our first playoff hockey game! WOOO HOOOO! On the way back from Lansing we stopped and grabbed some real coney dogs, fries, and malts. mmmmMMMMMmmmm! So, no special foods for watching the Super Bowl, but got my Detroit coney island fix in!

Oooh! Great idea; no expense! She is working through her shredding stage, so that could work!

Have I completely messed up here? I called WDW Reservations to get my 6 day park hopper upgraded to an AP only to find out you have be on site to do it??? Yipes! The CM I spoke to at Guest Relations in Epcot didn't say anything about that - he just said it had to be done before a certain date.

I did get a number for the ticket office at WDW and was advised to find out more from them.

About CoP - I heard that if it does leave MK, it'll go to Epcot.

I finally watched American Carol.

Detroit got nuked.

Sorry Hockeymom.

I'm pretty sure Deb that you have to do it at the guest services window because you have to give them your park hopper so they can see how many days you have left, etc.

Good morning Cons
I am about to leave the house for my vacation
We are going on a 7 day cruise aboard Celebritys Solstice
I might invest in internet if the $$ is not too expensive
Have fun
Have a great time, Debbie! :goodvibes

it's history! from 1964 on, there's been a cop and i expect to see it always!

(is there talk of taking it out? sheesh! we'll be needing a petition if that's true.)

Every couple months, some rumor from someone with an "inside source" says it's being removed, changing to seasonal again, etc. Usually that inside source seems to be a bus driver, and we all know how accurate the gossip coming from WDW bus drivers tend to be. :lmao:

Happy birthday! :cool1: I hate football, so I'm watching movies tonight instead. I am having nachos with the works for supper very shortly though. :thumbsup2

Ok, well off to MK for the night so I'll be back later!!

I'm not really claustrophobic, but I know better than to try that. It looks way too closed up for my liking. Plus I was there a few years ago when that little boy passed away on it. I have no desire to feel the equivalent force of an astronaut's launch into space. They have all kinds of tests done on them before they experience that amount of G-force; your average tourist does not. It's a safe ride technically speaking, but you can't ride it with heart problems and such. My thing is, unless you've noticed a problem and gone to the doctor for it, you have no way of knowing if you might have something like that or not. That's what I tend to think happens when people die on these rides; had a heart or other medical problem they weren't aware of, and then the ride makes it worse.

Happy early birthday to you too! We did dinner at CG 3 years ago and enjoyed it. Is your ADR around fireworks time? Watching them from the deck with the music pumped in is so fabulous.

Happy Birthday, Hil!!

I believe you do have to do ticket upgrades in person.

The Epcot rumor is just that, IMO; it first started on these boards, I believe.

i'd really ride them hard about this...certainly you're not going back just to do that and if the CM didn't provide all the information, you couldn't know. was there a pamphlet or anything given to you with your ticket?

that makes sense...maybe you can arrange to do it by mail.
