Consensus on transportation from CBR resort to DHS for rope drop? Skylier/Uber/Bus?

Seems like I've seen various threads saying that getting from CBR resort to DHS for line drop works "BEST" with any of several options like the skyliner, taking an Uber to the Speedway, or even waiting for the normal bus.

We'll be there in a little over a week, not sure if anything new has pushed people in one of those three "consensus" directions? Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Did you ever get an answer? We are going soon and have this same question

Nope I have not. Let me know if you do :)
Here is an answer I received on another thread:

7 AM??!! That’s insane! What time did you line up, and what time did you actually get on? Alternatively, what time would you recommend lining up? We don’t have to be at the very front, but we are hoping to rope drop Slinky with a minimal wait time if possible (~30 minutes). Is this possible if you have any knowledge on that?
I just returned from my trip today. We lined up for the Skyliner at 8am and there were less than 10 parties in front of us. The Skyliner started running at exactly 8:45am and we were on within a minute or so of them letting people on. Once at DHS, they opened temperature check at 9:15am and we went straight into the park. We went straight to MMRR and were on the ride by 9:30am. I would imagine you would have very similar results by heading straight for Slinky.

Thanks. Seems like I keep seeing different opinions on Skyliner if that's too backed up or if an uber is easier/faster :)

Agreed, I think different people would probably say each is better. I do think that now that people are not crowding into the park at opening to grab boarding passes for ROTR, it's probably a little easier to do the Skyliner than before.

Yeah I would hope so, but knowing that park has such big attractions and open so little, I would still think there's a big rope drop crowd. Especially since that's the one park that hits "capacity" every day.

Here was another view related:

We got to the Skyliner both days around 8:10am and there were maybe 30-40 parties in front of us both times. They brought us up to the loading platform around 8:30. On one day, the Skyliner started running around 8:45-8:50 and we were in the park by 9:20. The second day, the Skyliner started running at 9am and we were in the park by 9:30ish. Both days worked out fine. The first day we did Slinky Dog with a 10 minute wait, Aliens, and Smuggler's Run all before 10am. The second day we did MMRR with a 30 minute wait, posted was 45 minutes.

Our experience was before the ROTR boarding group changes,. With the boarding groups now going live from anywhere at 7am, the urgency to be inside the park prior to 10am is much less. IMO, there's no longer a reason for people to line up at the Skyliner that early anymore. There's still a benefit of being there when the park opens around 9:15ish because the lines are lowest then, but I would not break my back to get to the Skyliner by a set time. If we were going in the near future, we'd probably shoot for 8:30ish. I would say its totally doable to get on Slinky Dog with a less than 30 minute wait, especially if its a weekday.

I just relied to that thread......take the bus. the skyliner is a mess because of covid. 1 family to a gondola makes the system way to inefficient.

Oh really? Heard skyliner was still the fastest. We just Uber’d today to MK. May do that again tomorrow to DHS

Last week we took an Uber to the Speedway, then walked over. Got in line at HS around 8:30. Park opened at 9:15 instead of 10. We walked on Runaway Railway.
We were at the Riviera, and I checked the Skyliner around 8, but they assured me they weren't opening before 9 and I heard the park was opening early.

My post from a different thread is quoted above, but now in light of the new ROTR boarding group procedure, I personally don't think the rush to DHS for rope drop is as bad or urgent. We used the Skyliner twice under the previous ROTR boarding group procedure and were in the park by 9:30 both times. If I were going now, I would definitely use the Skyliner again. If I were not at a Skyliner resort, I would Uber to the park. The parking lot will open around 9am so Uber can be dropped off any time after the lot opens. If you call an Uber at 8:50-9am, I would bet you'll be inside the park by 9:30 at the latest.
