I have used my connections vouchers for breakfast at Cindy's with my girls last April, no problems...left a little more of a tip...server was great! (I'm in the business also!)
Well this upcoming trip we got resses at Cindy's for my birthday breakfast and planned on using my connections vouchers again...But, now they have that deposit thingy!!!....Will they not accept the voucher?? return our depost? or will they accept the voucher and not return the deposit...
that would mean we paid $27.50 for breakfast!!!
I DON"T THINK SO!!!

Has anyone run into this yet???

I'm going to call WDW tomorrow and advise them we're using vouchers. When I made a PS for GG the CM asked if I would be using vouchers or any discounts. My assumption is that they'd refund your deposit, but just because that seems logical doesn't mean that's how it would work.

yes--and through a tip from this board I did exactly like travelitis is doing and I called Disney Dining. It was a good thing I did. It was a huge problem to get fixed.

What should have happened is I should have told them about the vouchers on my initial phone call and then they would have used my credit card as a guarantee only.... (When I made the ressies, they didn't ask about the vouchers and the process of getting ressies for CRT is so stressful that I didn't even think about it)...

1st phone call--I was mildly reprimanded for not telling Disney Resservations about the vouchers when I made my initial reservation and I was told the CC would be credited back.

A few days later, Disney left a message on my phone machine asking me to fax front and back of my vouchers to them "just so their would be not problem when we went to CRT" (ie sort of sounded like they didn't believe I was using vouchers. At that point, I checked my CC--and no credit from the previous phone call)

2nd phone call Fax'd front and back of vouchers--

3rd phone call--waited about 20 minutes and called Disney to see if they received my fax....CM said they didn't get the fax (funny, I have a confirmation...) wait a minute (waited 5 minutes) Oh the fax just came in--and why are you sending this to us? .....I explained and then asked for the deposit charge to be removed from CC.... CM assured this would be done.

I checked CC online statement for over a week and the CC was not credited.

4th phone call: I explained previous events--CM says there was no record that my card had been charged. I volunteered that perhaps at this point what needed to be done since they couldn't find the charge is that I should dispute the charge. CM said not to do that, a supervisor would have to be consulted and all Sups had gone home for the evening and the sup would call me the next day....

Next day, the same CM did call me back and said the charge had been credited back to my account (the name had been wrong in their system as sometimes happens and she was able to find it and fix it)

This took several weeks to get it straightened out and I was very happy to have everything in order about two weeks before I went for my breakfast ... At breakfast, everything went smoothly except I was presented with a separate bill for bottled water (the only drink for Mom and me) in addition to using the vouchers...

So, I would encourage you to get this straightened out before you go so you don't have to give it a second thought at your breakfast.

Enjoy your wonderful breakfast with Cinderella!
