I was a member of Connections (now called DealPass) for a little over a year, so I can only speak about my experience with Connections.
Connections at the time did have a 3-month trial membership for 1 cent, and then you paid $69.00/year. I'm sure that DealPass has the same offer (
www.dealpass.com). I was told when I called to sign up for Connections to mention that you saw advertising for $69/year, otherwise it seems that the membership they would quote on the phone would be higher.
We saved tons of money on Disney related items such as Quick and Casual Meal Vouchers ($11/piece + free ship), Disney park passes, Universal passes, etc.
A word of caution...when you speak to the rep on the phone clearly state what you want and the quantity, and then check your CC statement. It seemed that every time we called, the rep would have the worst possible English.
We never had problems with them, until I read about the many billing problems on this site, and then sure enough we would receive extra items more than we ordered (did credit us when we returned items), and when it came time for our yearly membership they billed us in the eleventh month.
Other items you can save money on are movie tickets, and % off on various department stores.
Having said that, I still would recommend them, just monitor your purchases.
