Connections, Not WDW related Question.

I signed up for connections trial period and I plan on canceling before my 30 days is up..


I already ordered my WDW tickets and I received them last week. However, I am in dire need for a new stroller and I noticed that they offer BabyRus gift cards. For every 25.00 you buy you get a bonus 5.00. My question is, if I buy 100.00 worth will I get 120.00 in gift cards? or will they only charge me 80.00? Does anyone know?

Nevermind, I answered my own question. I guess I should have just read through it more carefully...

Luv2trav......actually they charge you the full $100 then later usually a couple of weeks they credit your acct back the $20. We have used them to buy Christmas presents for the kids. We ended up paying $160 for a x-box by buying $200 woreth of gift cards and getting back the $40 rebate. We use the meal vouchers for Red Lobster, Bennigans, etc often.

You will need to be an active member of Connections at the time that they decide to credit accounts for gift card purchases. If you are well within your 30-day trial and intend to cancel, chances are that you will be cancelling before they get to crediting your account. There will be not savings on the gift card purchases if that is the case.

As mad4 wrote, be careful because you must be an active Connections member to receive your rebate. The rebate is never posted on the same credit card statement that you purchase on--always the next one. If you cancel you will not get your rebate.

When I called to cancel before my 30 days was up--they offered me a $25 gas card in addition to the $25 Walmart card I was getting for trying the program. I decided to keep the membership but then I read on these boards where people were called by telemarketers and offered 69.95 membership instead of the 79.99 that I was paying. I called back and said I wanted to cancel and this time they offered me 60.00 in household vouchers.
They came in 2-$10 and 2-$20. I just send a utility receipt or food
receipt and I get a check back. They way I look at it, I did get my tickets and vouchers at a discount plus the restaurant savings and they actually paid me to keep the account. Good Luck!
