Connections and SW

I have never flown Southwest before but I understand they do things a little differently. I was wondering if my boarding group remains the same throughout my entire trip. When making a connection do I need to check in again at the gate or will I have already received my boarding pass and group assignment?

Your boarding numbers will usually not be the same but you get both of them when you check in for the first flight.
