Connecting rooms at AKL?

Hi all,

We booked 2 sav. rooms at AKL for our March trip and requested connecting rooms. (My family is travelling with my mom and aunt). I'm wondering if anyone has had these and how likely it is that we will actually get them. Should I make this my ONLY request? I have a host of other things I'd love (Arusha, unobstructed view, no "people pen", 3rd floor, etc.) but maybe we should just ask for one thing to increase our odds of getting it.

When you make you requests, list them in the order of importance to you. They will start at the beginning and try to honor as many requests as possible. We had connecting rooms last April and it was wonderful! It really gave us more room to spread out. Plus morning planning is easier if you're all together. During March, the resort will be pretty crowded, so they may not be able to honor all of your requests. Try to keep an open mind and plan to enjoy whatever room you get! We requested connecting, nonsmoking rooms, one with bunkbeds, on the Zebra Trail. We were able to have all our requests honored, but I tried to not ask for too much (didn't want to put the room assigner in a bad mood! )
