Hi  ,

We are off to St.Lucia in just under a fortnight for one week. When we fly back from St.Lucia (In to LGW with VA) we have a connecting flight to Portugal to see some family with Monarch. I was just wondering (there is probably a very obvious answer!) what happens if the flight from St.Lucia is delayed and we miss our connecting flight? I guess we will be automatically placed on a later flight (with no extra charges??) but I am not too sure as it is a charter flight. Hpefully we wont need to know anyway because we wont be late in, but I just thought it would helpful if I had an idea of what might happen.

Thanks.

Richard. :)

..... I'd check with your airline Richard.
I know people who've missed connections before, and usually the airline gets them on a later flight if not with them then with another carrier, but how long they can make you wait for the next available flight, I'm not too sure. If it were me, I'd like to cross the t's and dot the i's and check with the airline :) Let us know what they say!

BA/AA say they 'will make every effort to get you on a later flight'.

How far 'every effort' extends I hope Idon't have to find out ;)
