We have a connecting flight in Houston on our red eye flight. We have plenty of time so I am not to concerned about the size of the airport but do we need to pick up our bags or not? We clear US customs here in Edmonton but I just want to be sure.

I know we do not have to pick them up until Edmonton on the way back unless something has changed with US connections.

The airline will put your luggage right through so you don't need to worry about anything in Houston - just your carry ons. Have a great flight.:)

Ah, the United overnight flight. We're doing this one in November, and IIRC we'll have over 2 hours in Houston, which is plenty of time if you have the same connection. IAH is pretty easy to find your way around but it is way spread out. It reminds me of a 60s era mall with planes parked outside of it. I find tight connections in Houston to be difficult compared to Denver, for example. Have a great flight.:)
