Connecting a Comcast DVR to a DVD Recorder?

My son wants to record shows from the DVR to his DVD recorder. We were able to do this before our move (we had to move out because of a flood) but since we returned we cannot figure out how to do it.

Called Comcast and they told me it was not possible... why don't I believe them?

Anyone with any experience with this? Help!!

Few if any service providers provide customer support for things like this. Their default approach is to say it doesn't work, because most customers would react much more negatively to service providers saying something like, "It's (probably) possible, but we don't provide help for you to make it work."

The instructions in the linked webpage are good. Let us know how it works out for you. Lots of folks here can help you figure out what's going on if you run into trouble.
