And I went on this one that had a HUGE alligator,

I think that's the one Jasonpwns was asking people to visit. I saw that alligator and was amazed. then I saw the thrones were claws and was more amazed. it was really unique!

I managed to ride 25 rides tonight after work and all I can say is WOW! Some of the rooms are spectacular! Other than my teams entry (Camp Slip and Slide) my favorite rides so far are, and they are in no particular order here, Summer Escape, Friends Are Magical, Believe, Ride the Rainbow, and Aztec Splash. I can't wait to get home tomorrow night and ride some more!

Would it be too much for me to say, if you're proud of what you created, you have already won? Anything beyond that is virtual icing on the cake!

Congrats to all those who put in the time and effort to create a ride room. It is not an easy task and you should be proud!

I wish that there were also indiviual room awards also. I saw a couple of outstanding rooms in rather so-so rides......

DITTO! Sometimes you just hit a room and go: "WOW, this person really needs to win a room award!"

I don't know if I can vote for two teams at the same time, but if I can I'd like to choose Ride the Rainbow and Disney Swingers. Both came up with original ideas and decorated their rooms marvelously. I have only seen a few rides, most non-dis, but this will be a very heated competition.

I visited a few yesterday, plan to do more today. All were excellent and very creative.

Some things I noted:

I really like the slides that have an additional start piece in case you get bumped to the front door. Not everyone had this so in some of them, I did not finish because I was left at the front entrance.

Some were extremely creative but VERY LONG. After going through many many rooms, I kept thinking "where is the end?"

I really appreciate the entrances in which the owner is there to greet you. I went to several yesterday (including several DIS rooms) and in a few, I was not acknowledged by the owner even though they were there and chatting. Others however were there to welcome everybody and invite them to slide. I thought that was a very nice touch.

All in all, I am imazed and humbled by the creativity of so many people. I can appreciate the time and effort that was put in to creating these rooms and everyone is a winner

i agree, and sorry to double post (if that's what it's called). you know, i was really worried because my team only has like 22 rooms, and the maximum is 30. but one team slide i rode (it wasn't dis) had room after room that looked exactly the same pretty much (it was a relief when i was dc around the 10th room!). i haven't had the pleasure to ride any other dis slides, but i am going to try to ride half today and half tomorrow.

I agree with you dreams and wish i could get on to ride and ( for me ) it would be like a birthday ride riding all of them lol. i guess im missing out hope to see some soon

I couldn't say who I think will win. I love so many for different reasons that it is almost nearly impossible for me to pick one lol.

I want to give credit to CL_CapeGirl and CL_capecad...err...I mean Beauty and the Beast lol. I just thought that was such a cute idea and whenever I saw them in their Beauty and the Beast room...it was just adorable! What an awesome idea. Also, KrazyLuke's "The_Mermaid" character makes me laugh whenever I go through the room... (staff can't possibly come through the ride and NOT smile at these lol -- go Disney Swingers! lol)

I don't envy the judges at all- they are going to have a tough time... there have been so many rides that I go wow or nice on. There are some that have terrific themes, others with great color/atmosphere, or fantastic ride placement- and I could easily see them placing somewhere


but so far- on overall basis- I'd have to put my vote to Friends Are Magical... that one has great color, a terrific theme, and the best ride track placement I've ever seen. I encourage everyone to check it out- and if you ride with a friend you get an extra show as there are two mirrored tracks in each room and you can ride together that way

Of course if I need to pick a second place it would have to be WDW Pool Hopping no bias there at all lol

Yes, I rode with Funniebunny, and we LOVED the mirror images as we rode.
If I was ahead slightly, she'd speed up a bit, and vice-versa. It was fun
to see ourselves doing the same ride....mirror imaged in each room.

The ride construction was so brilliant, I agree with VirtuallyMe and
Funniebunny on this one. If Friends are Magical does NOT win
Best Overall Ride Experience, I would be shocked.

I have to agree with my fellow teammates! Friends are Magical is truly awesome. I love the mirror tracks and the rides construction is simply amazing. Well done!!!

Well, I have to say I just rode Friends are Magical twice today, and it is AMAZING!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mirror images and the theme of friendship & hearts throughout the whole ride. Even the room descriptions had me tearing up! LOL! Okay, so I'm a little emotional today....
