OK, congratulations. The US still had more medals though. I think that's the first time the US has ever won the winter medal count.

And what's up with South America. They didn't get one medal for the whole continent. Africa I can understand...not a lot of snow there. But South America? Don't they have those Andes things there?

Great game, even if it did reaffirm my dislike for Sidney Crosby any further (after screwing with both America's team, the Red Wings, and America itself, I say it's time he be deported). I wish someone else would've scored the game winning goal.

I was happy (for Canada) to see them win hockey gold but to me the moment of the Olympics was the "Night Train" bobsled bringing gold back to the USA after over 60 years! It just shows what a little NASCAR technology can do!

Agreed. My Husband and I said we'd be fine if Canada won if someone like Mike Richards scored the winning goal. Anyone would have been better than Crosby.

I am happy for my Canes. Staal a Gold, Gleason a Silver, and Ruutu and Pitkanen a Bronze. We will see how many of them are with the team at next Thursday's game after the trade deadline.

Congrats Canada. Nice moment for the host country.

I don't follow hockey, so I don't know who this Sidney Crosby is (besides the one who got the winning goal today) but I gather y'all aren't particularly fond of him?

I thought it was kinda cool that the bobsled has a name! I saw the story on the NASCAR connection on the news this morning - apparently it made a difference.

It was a great game. Though Crosby is not nearly as talented as Gretzky or Lemieux and gets far more credit than he deserves (thanks to the media), the kid does one thing well and, that is, win.

The question is now can Alexander Ovechkin take the Caps to a Stanley Cup, da?
