I was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I am on a low sodium diet. Fast food is pretty much out of the question and even restaurants are limited when looking at their nutritional content to find something I can have. I am only allowed 500mg per meal. I am also have fluid restrictions - 2 liters per day (64oz). I know that Disney is accommodating but how does this work? Is this something that can be dealt with and still have a decent vacation? Anyone that has any experience with this - your advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am thinking that I will rent a scooter for the length of stay. While I can walk and am starting to walk daily to get my strength back, I do not think that I can walk the parks like I have in the past. We have done 18 miles in a day before. Are any better than others?

we stayed off property and used walker mobility a few times, we had a good experience with them.

I am sure this is a big adjustment for this trip, but you will have a good time. after all.....you;ll be in Disney!!

My sh was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure 3 weeks ago. It's difficult managing his diet (no more than 2000 mg sodium in 24 hrs and no more than 2000 ml fluid) and I can't even imagine doing it at WDW. He was already not planning to join us this year so we won't have to deal with it until the next trip. I believe you can call special diets to discuss your options. Good luck and I wish you the best.
