So frustrated -have been on hold for half an hour (at International telephone rates) I have been unable to make my final reservations for the end of May even thoigh we are checking in on 15th May (and staying for 14 nights) - although splitting our stay.

Previously I have been able to ring at my 90 day mark - do my ADR's for the next 10 days - which I have already done and then ring back 4 days later to reserve the remaining days - apparently this now can't be done and I have to ring back exactly at the 90 day mark again. I was holding for some time also before the CM found my original reservations which I made last week - there is much confusion in the new system and I feel that those staying over 10 days are now being penalised.

The official ruling has always been that onsite guests can make reservations for the first 10 days of their stay 90 (previously 180) days before their check-in date. Anything else is down to the CM you happen to get.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I called straight back and got someone else who booked my remaining dates immediately -didn't even ask for my Disney reservation number! Its such a lottery.

It comes down to explaining that without being able to call back then - as guests of Disney hotels - we are effectively losing the perk of being able to book early. When I came on here complaining about it someone else came on and said they asked for a manager when it happened to them and explained it that way, and were immidiately allowed to book.

But then the 'perk' has always been 90+10, it has never been 90+length of stay. Admittedly that is because it suits the typical length of an American's vacation but somebody is always going to have been able to book the date you want before you can book it.

On another forum I remember someone (a cats member) explaining that a lot of return visiters to disney split there bookings into 2 to get round this. They also explained a way to manage to book for very busy times like july 4th if you are staying arriving on say that actual date. They booked the stay for 90 +10 days before they actually wanted the meal, so that they could phone and get their reservation. Then they moved the hotel booking to the correct date 10 days later. All seemed a bit underhand to me but apparently thats whats done. I just phone and hope, if its gone I go to my 2nd, then 3rd choices. But I have never managed to get into GF to eat and view the fireworks, bet they have:sad2: .

That's exactly what people do for their Disney Vacation Club bookings as well - book for about a week before they actually want to go and then "walk" the reservation by adding a day on to the end and cancelling the first day. As you say very underhand and personally I would rather not go than 'play the system' to prevent others getting the room I want.

we're staying the same time as you, we're still one ADR short=
the restaurant times hadnt been put onto the system. thats why they prob couldnt do all your ADR's:goodvibes

Oh yes - maybe we'll see you there!! I'm not stressing because I'd already booked my 'hard to get' ADR's - only need to add on Planet Hollywood and Cape May breakfast - don't think there'll be such a mad rush for those.

Similar here, we have a split stay 5 days WL, 4 days at HRH then back at Disney (Kidani). First time round could only book for the 5 days at WL was advised the 90 dasy start again for stay at Kidani,no request for res number.

Phoned back following day, got differnt CM, but had to give Res number...which of course was only for the first five days.....still let me book 90 days plus 10 even though part of the time off site.

When I booked our ADR's for April, we were allowed to book 90+10 then I was given I was told to call at my 90 day mark for every other day that I wanted an ADR outwith my +10. :sad2:

I just wish that the policy was consistent as other posters on the main board have stated they've booked 100 days out then got the +10 option on top of that.

Hopefully WDW will get all the creases in the "new" system ironed out soon. :rolleyes1
