Confusing Ticket Question

We are going home to SSR in January, 2005. We are staying the majority of our time at SSR but our weekend nights at POFQ. My family has annual passes. My parents are coming as well (it is my dad's DVC).

If we bought discounted UPH for my parents through DVC, will they need to get new tickets for the nights we are staying at POFQ? Basically, can you buy UPH through DVC for more nights than you are staying at DVC?

I hope that this wasn't too confusing. Thanks for your help.

Their tickets will end on the day that they check out of SSR. So if you check out on Friday morning you will have tickets for all day Friday. If you don't check back into SSR until Sunday, you won't have passes on Saturday. UPH passes are good from the day you check in until the day you check out unless you delete the first and/or the last day at check in.

You can't add any more days to the UPH. You could purchase new ones at POFQ to start on Saturday when you check in.

I've seen one or two people post they were able to get them the entire stay even at more than one resort but it was very difficult to arrange. Most people haven't been able to get it arranged. It sounds like you may be staying at SSR two separate times with PO in the middle, if that's the case, all 3 stays will be separate ones. This could work to your advantage if you use it right and time you're non park times accordingly. If you're staying long enough, you may want to consider additional AP. Good luck, I hope it works out.

I have a related question.

Assume that my wife and I are AP owners and staying for 2 weeks. If we invite my brother to visit for 1 of the weeks, and stay in our condo. Can he purchase a UPH pass as part of our reservation, but only have it be active for the portion of his stay? Does it matter if the week he was staying ended on the same day as our reservation?

/Jim

I think you can only drop the first and/or last day of the entire stay off the ticket.

How about this for a hypothetical situation:

My family goes to WDW for 2 weeks... brother joins us for 2nd week.

We make two reservations in the same unit type (ie: 2BR), each for a week long... and we request (once we check in) to not be moved between the two reservations.

When my brother arrives for the 2nd week, he could then get a UHP for the 2nd week?

All consecutive day stays at a single resort are considered one long stay from this issue and that is spelled out in the rules. Now whether DVC would realize it or not is another matter. You could simply change resorts, for the second week as in the OP situation.

I guess more of this will make sense once I see the package this week. I dropped in at SSR during a biz trip last week, and didn't decide to buy until I got home and discussed it with Deb. Everything has been over the phone, but I should be getting a Fex-X package from them soon.

Thanks for the info.

We've had people join us for a portion of our reservation before and there was no problem getting their passes for just those days. We did not get room keys for them until they checked in. Although we had no problem doing this on two separate trips, your mileage may vary.

You cannot get the Unlimited Magic Pass for just a part of your stay. You May or may not be able to drop the first and/or last day. If ou were allowed to do so, it was a fluke.
