We just returned from WDW and our site visit and are confused as to the timing of the days events, do we take the chance of reserving the Cali grill (napa room)(not being able to see it until January (when we go back next). (Wedding will be may 2014). I don't have any idea what the menu will be like, we are not adventurous eaters. There's so many options and scenarios and its all a little overwhelming. Any suggestions?! Opinions?!

The world is your oyster so to speak!

I'm sure there will be photos available of the Napa room that you can view before you manage to make it back in January so at least you will have some kind of idea - what other venues did you view during your site visit?

When it comes to food I'm sure wherever you choose is going to accommodate what you would like to eat :)

However, California Grill is the one reception venue that doesn't let you modify its menus. Do you like the kind of food they serve now? Because their new menus aren't going to be radically different.

You might be better off going with a venue that offers more flexibility...

I've seen the renderings for the new look..which we both LOVE! It's the menu were concerned about since we can't do a tasting, and i don't even know what the catering/wedding menu was before it closed, so it's making it difficult to decide. We like the restaurant idea for the reception, just not sure of where else we would like to have it besides CG.
I appreciate everyone's imput here on the DIS though!

The other resort restaurant options are Citricos, Narcoossee's, and Jiko. Well, and Ariel's, I guess, although it hasn't been operated as a restaurant in years. Disney Catering would provide the food at all of these places, so you could have a menu tasting and use the master menus provided by Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings.

When I get home I'll dig around and see if I have any of the old wedding menus from California Grill...

Thank you so much, I appreciate all the help! We do love the look of Narcoossee's!
