Confused..

Ok- I have just started keeping up with the boards again recently b/c I am now planning a Thanksgiving trip. My question is.. how is it that people are calling 90 days out and not getting places like Sci Fi in and Chef Mickey's? I've been reading this a lot lately and don't understand... how are they full already when you call 90 days out?
I realize you can make 90+10 when you stay onsite- but they don't release all the tables for this do they? When we went last Jan., I didn't get an ADR I wanted on my 90+10 mark and the cm told me to call back on the 90 day mark b/c only a few were released early like that- so I did and had no problem getting what I wanted.
It has me confused/ worried about getting what I want for our trip when the 90 day mark hits.

I'm not sure about Sci-Fi, but as of right now you can book Chef Mickey's 180 days out for dates up to June 19th. So if people are calling right now for mid june Chef Mickey's may be filled up. After this Sunday ADR's for Chef Mickey's will only be 90 days out. also, it may have something to do with the new reservation system. There is info about that in one of the stickeys at the top of the page.

Yes, anybody who is trying to book Chef Mickey's for June will most likely be out of luck since those reservations were still at 180 days out. As for Sci Fi, Star Wars weekends may be playing a part in that as people calling now are calling for ADR's when that is happening. Also, if you are going to DHS on a day when Fantasmic is going that is also a big factor. Now that Fantasmic only runs 3 times per week, that makes the days it does extremely busy in that park. So if you are going on a Fantasmic day, call at the 90 day mark, at 7:00 a.m.!

I'm assuming the Sci Fi issue has to be people trying to book it around the Star Wars weekend. I had no problem getting booked there for my April trip.

I think they change things up every year or so to keep us confused and guessing!

And don't forget to just keep trying - - I JUST NOW got an ADR for Chef Mickey's at just around 48 days out from our April trip... there's always hope for those cancellations.

Chef Mickey's, CRT and V&A are available through June 19, which is approximately 93 days from today - so we won't have to wait much longer for everything to be 90 days.
