Pirates of the Caribbean is currently closed, but Captain Jack Sparrow joins the crew when it re-opens on July 7!


People keep saying they have ridden the new Pirates of the CR ride. On the site it says it does open until July 7th, the day the movie opens, and when my son was there last weeks the walls were still up. Also a cast member I know said that no one will see it until the 7th??? Is it really open or what??

Maybe you have heard from people who have ridden it in Disneyland? Their ride reopened last week with the move premier.

I will move this to the theme park boards where you may get more replies.

They must be doing a soft opening because I have a friend that rode it yesterday I think. She loved the new stuff..

It was open yesterday for a "soft opening".


DD and I rode it last evening (headed over to MK just for that when I read on the DIS that some folks had ridden it during the day - kept our fingers crossed it would still be running and it was!)

Soft opening doesn't guarentee it will be open every day/all day... so it might require some PIXIE DUST!

BTW - we loved the enhancements!

My sister and her family went on yesterday. I'm assuming it's a soft opening of some sorts. There is another thread on here somewhere with posts from people who have rode it.
