Confused with DDP and swan/dolphin

Hi all!! We ate looking to go to F&W in October but was thinking of staying in Swan or Dolphin. I read we CAN get the dining plan and then I read we can't. Please help!!?? I really want to grand hotels are booking fast

It's my understanding that Swan/Dolphin doesn't have any kind of dining plan b/c it's not Disney owned.

However, Swan/Dolphin could take advantage of Extra Magic Hours at the park and Disney Buses.

This is correct. Swan and Dolphin are not owned by Disney so they are not permitted to get the dining plan.

No Disney Dining Plan at the Swan/Dolphin. They are not Disney resorts.

For awhile, the Swan/Dolphin had their own "dining plan" which was only good at the restaurants in those two resorts - it was not usable anywhere else at WDW. I am not sure if they have it anymore.
