Im pricing out our europe cruise for aug==
so I put in for premium economy which includes
2 free checked bags
choose wider seaat with more legroom
boarding in group 4
changes allowed
so I pick this for the way over

coming home we like if its not out of hand business
so just tocompare fares I start with premium economy-which you get teh same perks as going over

but then it shows flagship business which includes
2 free bags
lie flat seat
boarding in group 1-2
flagship lounge and admirals club access
so i pick that coming home

then the next page shows all what you picked but then if you scroll down a bit theres another place where it says if you want to upgrade to
flgaship business for an even more extra price
but it lists all the same perks as the page before
hope this makes sense
does anyone have any idea why or what this all means
the way i see it the page before lists the perks or flagship business
but on the next page theres another upgrade charge and yet they also call this flagship business with the same perks

Haven’t travelled via AA for some years so hard to say beyond suggesting you call the airline for better clarification. Enjoy!

Is it possible they are offering you to upgrade the first leg of your trip? The one that you only have premium economy selected?

Most likely it is this. Because you have a mixed cabin itinerary, it's treated as a ticket with the lowest cabin and an upgrade. The offer is to upfare to the complete fare class.

AA always suggests you upgrade to the next class at checkout. They are probably suggesting you upgrade the premium economy leg to business or the whole flight to refundable business.
