Confused, keep telling us we can't borrow on our remaining 2021 points?

We have 2 contracts. 1 used once & our Aulani never used because of covid. So we banked our 1st 2020 contract points last year after canceling trip. We also then bought a new resale contract for Aulani. We have our 1st trip in Dec., Booked no problem. We then booked a trip in Feb, Aulani & back to Orlando in March. We have tried to upgrade our rooms. We wanted a bigger room at Aulani & had to wait for 7 month window for our unused points from other contract. We also we're going to modify our 1st trip & told this same thing. We are unable to as we can only borrow half the points. It isn't from a future year, it's our 2021 point contracts. Supposedly it will work after September member services said (use year). I can't wrap my head around it, it is 2021 points. Can anyone explain it better to me. We have been online with member services but am still confused.

For help, you’ll need to share your use years for each contract, the points for each contract annually, the number of points banked in each contract, and the nature of the rooms you’ve booked/ are trying to book.

If you have a September UY, it sounds like you have already used the 2020 points, the 2021 points and need to borrow from 2022 but have already done that to the limit.

Bur, more specific info on number of points would help.

Your December trip will take points that were in your September 2021 UY (banked 2020 points, borrowed 2022 points, any 2021 allotment of points).

Your February trip will also occur in your 2021 UY and will be the same as above.

The comment made by MS that it will work after September is incorrect. It should work now if you have not already borrowed 50% of your 2022 points. And it won't work after September if you are at 50%. It sounds like you got a CM who doesn't understand UYs. I would call again.

So we banked our Sept. 150, 2020 Saratoga points to 2021. We have our 2021 150 points too (300). Then we bought Aulani June 130 points with 130 for 2021. So we booked in Dec. 11 months out no problem at Saratoga and March with 47 points left. We booked Feb. with Aulani points have 2 points left. So at the 7 month window we wanted to move resorts as would like a murphy bed for partial of the stay. So we called and said we can only use half our points, which kind of makes sense but are not borrowing so no, does not. Then we wanted to upgrade our room at Aulani and called and said the same thing but could borrow from 2022 points. Which we don't want to do as we still have almost 50 2021 points. Does this make sense? After September the last guy said we wouldn't have a problem, I can't process as I thought it was just borrowing points not banked points and it is a 7 month window of 2021. I can maybe understand the 2020 December trip.

As you have two use years, and two membership numbers, points can not be mixed between membership numbers for any single night or reservation. Or you could book a separate reservation at Aulani using the SSR points. If you have 47 SSR points left in your September 2021 use year, you should be able to use those for a December 2021 trip or book a separate reservation in February 2022 at Aulani without issues. It sounds like the Cast Member was thinking you want to mix points from the two memberships for a single reservation, and that can not be done, unless you transfer points from your SSR membership to your Aulani membership. You may have gotten a new Member Services cast member who was not fully understanding what you wanted to do.

Two separate memberships don't like to play well with each other.

The banked 2020 points, if you want to transfer them to your Aulani contract, can not be done. Banked points can not be transferred. Otherwise, yes, if you want to book solely from the SSR contract, the banked and current points should be able to be used together.

You can use any of your Sept points for a trip. Since the 47 are all in one membership, they can be used together.

As mentioned, your Feb 2022 trip is in your June 2021 UY so to use more June points, you have to borrow from 2022.

Now, one thing you can do is transfer your Sept 2021 points…the 47…to the June UY, and then you’d have 48 to use at 7 months to add on to your Aulani trip since those points are not banked or borrowed points.
