confused...Is tepenedo the same as tepenyaki

When I made my ressies for Japan, the CM said that Tependo is the new name for the Tepenyaki area of the restaurant. Is the correct or am I in for an unpleasant suprise? We have no interest is sushi and such. Anyone?

Yes, it's the same restaurant and it's supposed to be the same food/cooking style - with some additions to, let me see if I can remember this, highlight the Edo region*/style of cooking.

*Yes, I know Edo is a city, but this is pretty much what I read - and if I could remember where I read it, I'd post that information

Yes, it's called Teppan Edo and supposed to be a similar restaurant. Probably a few new things, but essentially the same. The word "teppan" is your clue that it'll be like Teppanyaki.

But if you've never had sushi--you're missing out.
