lorraine if you go onto parenting forums DD / DS is used a lot although other forums i use ,use DD / DS / DH etc eg moneysaving expert,paid to shop ....

so i just say "my youngest " " my eldest " etc

Yeah, I think DH/DD/DS/DW is used mainly on parenting forums. I've been on loads of parenting forums now for nearly 7 yrs (eversince pregnant with my first child) and they're very common abbreviations.

Agree with Rachel, I've seen it on several other forums although in all honesty I sometimes find it hard to refer to my teenage son as a DS on them, there are some other choice abbreviations I could use though.
