Confused about updates at PO Riverside Magnolia

I just read that PO Riverside Magnolia rooms are going to be updated. Hate to sound crazy, but I was there just last month and I actually thought that the room had been renovated...yet it does look like the picture on their website. Granted, I had switched over after spending a few nights at Pop, so perhaps that's why I thought I was in an already upgraded room.

So, my question is....when were the rooms last renovated (please note I am note talking about the Princess/Royal rooms) and do any pictures exist of the way they will look after the renovation is completed?

Thank you!

I could be imagining things but I feel like POR had a soft goods refurb that was in process before COVID and then it was never finished or they didn't get to the royal rooms?

POR had a soft goods refurb of the Alligator Bayou rooms and regular Magnolia Bend mansion building rooms (buildings 80 and 85) in 2018/19, and as you say those rooms still look pretty much brand new (remember the resort was closed for 18 months post-COVID). The remaining "Royal Rooms" in buildings 90 and 95 were due to be refurbished starting in April 2020, but we all know why that didn't happen. That work got bypassed for the recent French Quarter refurbs, which are now almost complete, and work at Riverside is now due to start this April (I believe building 90 will probably be the first).
