Confused about rates

Hi everyone, I need some help here. I have been searching for the best deal available and do not know which way to book my trip.
I am currently booked for ASM for 14 nights with a 10 park hopper / water park option for 2 adults and a 12 yr old. with free dining in aug /sept.

My husband cannot join us until the last 5 nights of our vacation.
So I have thought of dropping DH from our ressie, and just buying a seperate ticket for him and let him buy his own meals.


then I thought of buying an AP for DD and I but I am confused about the annual pass and free dining. Can this be combined some how ?

Any help / suggestins would be GREATLY appreciated !

Keep everyone on the reservation but change the ticket to all one day. After you arrive you can upgrade any or all the tickets to 10 day w/options or annual passes.

You cannot do free dining and get an AP discount. You will probably be better off with the free dining anyways since you are staying at a value. I would keep him on the reservation because the cost difference between a 5 day adult ticket and a 10 day ticket is so minimal. I looked it up on the AAA website and the 5 day is $313 and the 10 day is $333 so you would not save very much by taking him off and you would have to pay for his food. Hope this helps.
