According to "My Disney Experience" at Disney.com, I am 72 days away from my first day at our Fort Wilderness cabin. Today on My Disney Experience I can book FP+ reservations for anytime in the next 30 days. At 60 days until my reservation will it open up for me to make FP+ reservations?

Yes, that is correct. Since your package has ticket media you are technically eligible to make 30 day advance FP+ reservations. But you will want to just wait until you are 60 days out and book FP+ for the days of your resort stay. The calendar in the MDE fastpass selection will change when you get to 60 days out.

Actually, that is not the reason why the OP can book FP right now. The reason is that the OP doesn't have a package, which means their tickets aren't connected to their resort stay, so the system views them as a day guest.

Thanks for clarifying the cause. I experienced this same thing with my upcoming trip where my tickets were purchased separately from resort reservation, not as a package. `
