Confused about extras

I saw a post about AAA offering free refillable mugs for booking with them. Dreams Unlimited offered an instant rebate of $100.00. Has anyone price compared the two to see if one is better than the other?

Also, I see that Castaway Club members get a free gift. Do you also get onboard ship credit?

Well, if you buy a mug on board, it's $35.00, so it sounds to me like a $100 rebate is much better.

CC members only get an on board credit if the cruise was booked while on board. You still get a gift though. Last year we got a beach towel.

With AAA you get a mug for everyone booked on the reservation. So, if you have 4 people, 4 mugs @ $35 each equals $140.

I guess it depends how many are going to see if it is worth it or not.

MagicMouseketeers - When are you going? I booked with AAA but was told they weren't sure what their promo would be. I've heard of the mug offer but not the rebate. That would be great!!!

I just got a quote from AAA today and it came in higher than Dreams Unlimited (by $200) No mention of a discount.

....in January while they were having their big cruise sale, so we got a cheaper rate then. In addition to the mugs, you get 10% off merchandise (not food or drink) purchased at the shops on board or at Castaway Cay with your AAA card. It works for us on paper *g*.....we'll see next January if it works in practice.

PA Girl we booked last spring, for this July. I don't think they mentioned the rebate at that time. We just found out about it when we got an updated statement.
