I am thinking of purchasing the DDE card. I just got off the phone with a CM at DDE. I asked her about the expiration of the card. She told me that it expires one year from the date of purchase. I asked her about what I had seen on the DIS about expiration (ex. purchase card on 11/09 and it expires 12/31). She said that is also correct but then told me again that it expires one year from the date of purchase.:sad2: I'm totally confused here. :confused3 Can some please clarify this for me? TIA!

They are meant to last a year from the date of purchase, but in reality they issue them so they expire at the end of a month, anything you get over the year is a bonus,

The actual expiration date depends on which day of the month you order the card. The CM should have explained that to you. Order at a certain time and the card will last until the end of the following month. Like ours--we ordered our card in early April 2007 (I think it was April 4)
It now expires at the end of MAY 2008. Had we ordered at a different time in April, it would expire at the end of April 2008.
Our CM was very helpful when I called--told me what dates I needed to call back on to get that extra month.

What the others have posted is correct. What the CM may have been trying to explain is that the clock starts ticking from the date of purchase, not the date of first use, so don't order until shortly before your trip (or if it works out with your schedule, order when you get there and pick it up at Epcot the same day, after 5 pm, M-F).
