Confused about Banking/Points Expiring

Please help a newbie out.

I have a March Use Year.

I have 2013 Points available I do not think I will be using. I will most likely bank these. When will I have to use them by? After I bank them when can I use them to book a vacation?

When do my 2014 points because available and have to be used by?

For a March UY, you have until October 31st to bank any 2013 points you don't want to use.

Those points will then be in your 2014 use year, and you must use them within that use year (March 1st, 2014 to February 28th, 2015). Any banked points not used will expire (you cannot bank them forward again.)

Your 2014 points are actually available to you now, depending on when you want to travel.

Points need to be available in your account at your time of check in at the resort, not when you book the reservation.

If you look at your account online you can see the banking dates and available points.

If you look at your account online, you should see March 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. So 2014 is available.

March 2014 use year points are for stays 3-1-14 to 2-28-15. You could borrow them to your 2013 use year or bank them to 2015 use year. All points use is based on date of stay. If you book a stay for 3-1-14 or after, you could even borrow 2015 now.

"use" year refers to when you can use the pts for a stay. throw out your jan to dec calendar and think about your UY starting on march 1.

and don't get confused. keep in mind that your booking window has nothing to do with use year. you can book 11 months out at your home resort. if you look online, your 2015 pts are already loaded into your account...
