Confused about 90+10, when do I make ADR's?

We're going marathon weekend (January 8-11.) I was thinking i'd be able to make adr's on October 8th, am I wrong in thinking this? Can I make them 10 days sooner? What is the 90+10 booking window I see all over the boards? I want to make them as soon as I can since we have some prime character meals we are hoping for, when do I actually go online or call to book? TIA!

Your call-in date will be October 10. (90 days differs just a bit from "three months".) You will be able to make reservations that day for your entire stay. (If you were staying longer than 10 days, that wouldn't quite be the case.)

The +10 just means you can book 10 days INTO your stay, if you stay is for 4 days you can make all your ADR's at the 90 day mark ( soon to be 180 days)

Thanks for the link to the calculator. I thought I remembered there being something like that, but I must have been googling the wrong terms!
