I was always under the impression that SOG had direct transportation from the hotel to the various parks. I knew they didn't go to the other resorts. My mom said she read that they will only take you to the ticket and Transit stop. I went to SOG and under transportation it says they offer a complimentary bus to the Walt Disney resort transportation center. Is there anyone that has been there that can give me a better idea of where their buses will actually take you ? :confused3

It's been awhile since I've been there, but I was also under the impression that the bus only went to the TTC. Their bus service is limited--not like the other resorts. I've always rented a car and, if I didn't feel like driving, took a 10 minute walk across the road to the Polynesian and hopped on the monorail. Just figure into your travel time that you will need to get another bus from the TTC to wherever you are going. Also, it's really not too far of a walk (at least in the morning!!). On the way out of the parks at night, you might feel a bit different.

We was there last August. They had 2 bus routes then. Bus A was to the TTC and Back and it left every 15 minutes. (It always seemed to be on time too for us even at 1am after the E night we went to) The TTC is where you go to Epcot or MK.

Bus B went to DownTown, I think MGM, Animal Kingdom. Maybe even the water parks? We chose to drive to all those locations so I can comment too much on that.

We had no other resorts using the bus. In fact they said you had to show an ID the front desk gave us to board but we never had to show it.

Bus B does go to Animal Kingdom and MGM, but not water parks. You have to take bus A to the TTC and then take the Disney bus to the water parks.

I was asked on one occassion for my ID. I had left it in my room, but the bus driver made me go to my room and get it before he would let me on the bus, so please keep your ID on you at all times.

I don't feel the SOG bus transportation is limited. Who else on Disney property has the option of using 2 forms of transportation. Talk about convenient........miss one bus and take the other! Works great for us. No more inconvenient than someone at a Disney resort waiting on their bus. At least SOG buses have nice cushy seats and is less crowded.
