On all ears, wdwinfo, and mouseforless there are conflicting prices for lots of the menus Has anyone been to Chef Mickeys Breakfast recently and how much is the meal for adult.. and for child. Im trying to work out a budget and I want to get the most accurate prices.
TIA

When in doubt, especially for budgeting, always go with the higher price.

All of the menu pricing online is unofficial, and is submitted to sites by tourists who take pictures of menus and send them in.

Disney frequently raises their prices, so I'd go with the higher prices on the unofficial sites. Worst case scenario is that you'll end up with extra spending money for a few more snacks. :goodvibes

Thanks for the suggestion. :goodvibesThats what I was planning on doing, but some of the prices are 20.00 difference and that would make a huge difference in planning to eat at that particular meal. I wouldn't be upset with a few dollars, but a family of 5x20 is100.00 more than I would be willing to pay. ARRRG... decisions decisions :)

Disney puts a pricing surcharge on the character buffets at the busiest times of year, so that can be accounting for the pricing differences. As the other person stated, just budget for more just in case.

Not just the character buffets get the peak surcharge - all Disney buffets, family-style all you can eat restaurants, and fixed price, fixed menu restauants, whether they have characters or not.

There is a difference of $20 for one meal? It sounds like a mistake on one page then.

Good luck with your budget! Remember to include tax & tip on the budget so you have an accurate number. I always include those on my spreadsheet so that I know the "real" totals.

thanks everyone, I know about the surcharge for peak times, I know which places have the charge, my only problem is the 20.00 difference. That right there will make a HUGE difference on whether we choose that dining experience Is there a site that is more accurate besides the sites I stated before. I have always planned our disney trips nearly to the penny and the meals in question are Cinderella's Royal table, and Chef Mickeys. The rest seem to match from site to site.. has anyone been there recently and can give me a more accurate price?

thanks Chell, I always plan for tax and tip as part of my budget. Its the only way to avoid suprizes. :)

Which place has the $20 difference, maybe someone has been there recently and could confirm the price.

I'm not sure what the difference is, although it could probably be $20-ish, but I noticed this weekend that one site lists CRT as the actual price of the meal and says "tax and gratuity are extra," while the other lists the total price that INCLUDES tax and gratuity (what you'll really pay because it's a fixed price there). Maybe that's what's going on for Chef Mickey's, too? I know that when I booked CRT online, I had to pay in full first (although we may now switch to the dining plan :)), and the price quickly shot up at the purchase page due to the tax and gratuity, and that's when I understood the price difference I was seeing on the various websites.

As has been posted, it's not possible to use unofficial sites to get absolutely up to the minute menus and prices for WDW restaurants. It's probably not even possible to use WDW's own site for that purpose - they have menus posted there for most WDW-owned restaurants. Even these menus are marked "Menu items and prices are subject to change at any time without notice." Even so I would think these would be reasonably current as they have only started posting them this year and you aren't running the risk of using posted menus that are several years old, like you would with unofficial sites. Go to www.disneyworld.com and look up the individual page for the restaurant you are interested in.

You are welcome. I just wanted to make sure. :thumbsup2 I've seen some people forget about that and be in for a shock.

the date. Some of the menus are not updated regularly. That being said it appears that this site is showing $35.99 for breakfast for an adult. I'll go out on a limb and say that that figure is too high. The $22.99 for an adult I see elsewhere is what we paid this summer before the high demand surcharge was added. I would use $24.99 for an adult to be safe and figure in the surcharge if appropriate.

Right, that was one of the ones I was looking at. It also says the dinner is less expensive than the breakfast, which I find hard to believe. Thanks for that info. Im keeping my fingers crossed

I saw the same price difference today. It's listed as $35.99 for breakfast and $29.99 for dinner on The Dis http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=55

On Allearsnet, they show the price as $22.99 for breakfast and $29.99 for dinner. http://allears.net/menu/menu_cmb.htm

The Disney website just shows it as $$, or ranging from $15 to $35.99 per person. I called 407-WDW-DINE and was told that the price was told the price is $26.62 per adult and $14.90 per child with tax. She said the price could change, but that the price is close to what it should be when we go there in March.

Yeah, I have a breakfast booked for three adults in January that I think I will cancel. It charged my credit card 134.40. If you divide that by 3 it is 44.80 cents per person. For breakfast. That is crazy!!

Which breakfast is this for? CRT?

I was not asked for a credit card when I booked Chef Mickey's. On the Disney dining reservation website, it states "No Credit Card Guarantee Required".

If the meal was charged in full at booking, it is probably CRT and not Chef Mickey's.
