Confirmed: No more crab legs

Well, sign me up as someone who would like to lead an uproar!

I can't stand what the DDP has done to dining (and drinking) at Disney. Year after year, I keep my fingers crossed that Disney will finally figure out that it was an all-around BAD idea and eliminate it!

The crab legs were one of the major reasons I booked CR! I guess I should be happy we at least have the diver booked for our anniversary, but I am disappointed in this change.

It's a seafood restaurant after all. And yes, I realize they have fish on the menu, but I would expect a greater variety of seafood offerings.

It's strange that Deb's website says the CR dinner menu was updated as of 06/08 and it still shows the crab legs. Does anyone have a copy of this new menu?

Not going to happen - especially if the current rumors are true and they're working to include the tip in the dining plan again (albeit at a higher price). Many posters have indicated they'll pay the higher price to get the plan with tip included. If they are an indication of a majority of guests, WDW is probably salivating over the possibility.

Personally I would like to see it eliminated as well, but right now I am just picking restaurants carefully.

It wasn't a bad idea for Disney - they now have a foolproof way to get their guests to stay and eat onsite - without ever leaving to try other Orlando attractions or restaurants. It doesn't really matter what kind of food they offer as long as it's acceptable.

WDW changes menus relatively often, and they do it without notice. Websites often depend on readers to provide new menus. If no one has provided a new one, they won't have a new one.

Well, that's disappointing to hear but seriously, not surprising!
