Confirmation questions about packages

Does Disney send you a confirmation in the mail? My balance is due in Oct, Can I send in payments or do I have to wait and pay the balance in full? I have never booked a package before, so I dont know what to expect.
Also, do I get my tickets when I check in?

I don't normally buy packages but I did this time due to free dining. What we did to pay the balance was to log on to Disneyworld.com and we paid it right through the site. You can also just give them a call and have it paid within a few short minutes. Your room tickets will be on your room key when you check in, not like separate paper tickets etc. (Or at least that's how it was for us last September when we were there for free dining)

We did get a confirmation letter with an envelope to pay for the trip. Although, we did just go on their site and pay it instead. Your tickets will be part of your room key when you get there.

30 days out you should get a cute little package with luggage tags and coupons and another confirmation all in a little plastic pouch! We were all excited when it came!

When we went in 2004 I booked on-line through the WDW resort web-site, have since used Small World Vacations hoping for better prices or deals or code. I made regular monthly payments through the web-site so that when my last payment was due I didn't have to pay a hugh chunk, just a normal sized monthly payment. I loved it, sort of like lay-away, if anyone remembers what that is!

It is just so convenient and when I get there everything is ready to go, that's the kind of vacation I like!
